So, I know everyone is posting about this, right now. I've been thinking it over since it first happened, trying to think of the right thing to say.

On some level I understand how she feels; I mean, who doesn't love being told what they worked so hard on was awesome, and who isn't a little bit disappointed when they don't get the recognition they want. But, seriously, every single comment should be treated like the gift it is. People have other things going on in their lives; people are shy; there are plenty of reasons people don't comment and it isn't always a reflection on your work.

For the record, I have cherished every single comment, even if it's just a smiley face. I like knowing that I've made someone's day better. But, as much as I love the comments, I love writing more. I love playing with language and turning it into something I think is beautiful. So, even if I disappear for a bit when my mental health is on the fritz, I'll always be back. I love you guys and I'm here to stay. *group hug*

I just read the most amazing fic, and now I think I need a cold shower. Everyone must go read it now! It's SPN (yeah, I know - not even my fandom), but it's a Jared/Jensen RPS AU, so it doesn't have the icky factor that Dean/Sam has for me. Edit: because, apparently, squicks were made to be broken!
